 Mission of the Internet Research Lab - the IRL brings together Bell Labs network security expertise to secure the Internet infrastructure. The IRL researchers are :
- Investigating the pathological deficiencies within Internet Protocols and network equipment that may allow for the exploitation of networks.
- Determining the best practices for defense against advanced network hackers.
- Providing feedback to Lucent product development groups to improve network security in product line development and deployment/implementation.
