Description of the business activity of Peltex Fibres
Since 1956, Peltex has been creating and weaving rugs and piles, on a mesh jersey background, for clothing, furnishing and decoration.
The 1970s freed up creativity, opposing the strict Bourgeois style. The collections multiplied and the company remained at the forefront of technological innovations. (It extended its collection of patterns which became more and more varied.) Stripes, diamonds, tartans and jacquard appeared and in greater detail. Peltex also developed raised patterns, incredibly soft and silky to the touch.
The production process was mastered fully and was of very high quality. The 2000s were a difficult time with outsourcing and competition form Asia.
The company did not utter its last word: it invited Sam Baron, a designer known for his work in highlighting materials and know-how, to design a collection of furniture and decorative accessories. Sam Baron was fascinated by the company's heritage; he decided to revive its former glory by bringing it up to date with current design.
